For a townhouse of 100 m2 or more, it is usually best to go for a combination of Single-Zone, Twin-Zone, and possibly a Multi-Zone system. However, we do not recommend a large Multi-Zone system for the entire residence because you risk being completely without cooling/heating if, for any reason, the main unit of the system ceases to function. With several smaller systems, you also get greater flexibility to, for example, choose to run only the units that are needed at any given time. Regardless of the system chosen, an indoor unit is installed in each room, while the outdoor units are either mounted on the house facade, balcony, terrace, or directly on the ground, depending on what is possible and what provides the best conditions for the system to efficiently cool the residence during the hot summer and provide sufficient heating during the winter months (A shaded location allows the system to operate more efficiently and economically, while a sunny location makes the machine work harder, potentially leading to increased future service needs). Check what applies to your house before ordering your system. Sometimes, outdoor units must be placed on the roof of the house, and this may require some additional components to, for example, channel away condensation water, etc. Contact projects@mrchris.ac if you want us to help you with this.
