For a larger residence of approximately 90 m2 or more, it's usually best to go for a combination of Single-Zone, Twin-Zone, and possibly a Multi-Zone system. However, we do not recommend a large Multi-Zone system for the entire home, as it carries the risk of being without cooling/heating if the main unit of the system were to malfunction for any reason. With multiple smaller systems, you also gain greater flexibility to, for example, choose to run only the units needed at any given time. Regardless of the system chosen, an indoor unit is installed in each room, while the outdoor units are mounted on the house facade, balcony, or terrace, depending on what is possible and what provides the best conditions for the system to efficiently cool the home during the hot summer and provide sufficient heat during the winter months. A shaded location allows the system to work more efficiently and economically, while a sunny location makes the machine work harder, potentially leading to increased future service needs. Check the regulations applicable to your residence before placing your order. Contact projects@mrchris.ac if you want us to assist you with this. It's an additional service that we charge for on an hourly basis. For some, it's worth paying for this and avoiding worries about potential issues with the building permit. Simply easy and convinient.
In our example, the outdoor units are placed on the balcony and on the facade as close to their respective indoor units as possible. The piping from the indoor units can then be drawn directly through the exterior wall to the outdoor units, which is the simplest and most cost-effective way to install an AC-Heat Pump. Also, note that we have chosen to have an indoor unit in the kitchen as well. If the residence had an open floor plan between the kitchen and living room, one indoor unit would have been sufficient.
When it comes to larger residences, we always recommend a home visit from our technician so that we can discuss your expectations for the system, your budget, and assess your residence's conditions to meet your requirements. For a five-room apartment, you should consider at least one Single-Zone and two Twin-Zone systems. We always advise investing in a quality machine from a reputable brand, preferably a model with a slightly higher capacity than strictly necessary. This ensures that, when properly maintained, you'll have a system that will last for many years. You'll have a system that can easily provide a comfortable indoor climate regardless of the season and extreme temperature fluctuations. When you purchase your system through us, you are buying it at our non-profit price, and you only pay for the installation. Moreover, we are always punctual and deliver on our promises.
